EDUCATION:

While receiving my degree in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising I have learned many valuable skills. In the Trend Analysis class learned about the importance of trend cycles and how to differentiate trends and fads. During this course, I also learned about the product life cycle. It is important to be able to detect when a product has been adapted by influencer then changed to fit into society and finally when it disappears.  Another important course that has provided me with important skills would be Consumer Textiles. Throughout this course, I learned about different fabrics and their composition. One of my favorite course that I took in the ATM program was Buying and Merchandising math. I enjoyed the process of choosing items, creating a purchase plan and determining the markup price. My minors in Retail and Administrative management are complimenting my major well because I was able to learn about different leadership styles and what skills a successful leader should possess. The ATM program at Central Washington University has prepared me for both the creative and business sides of the fashion industry.
